Internet poker has become world celebrated recently, with televised events and celebrity poker game shows. Its universal appeal, though, arcs back in fact a bit further than its television ratings. Over the years many variations on the first poker game have been developed, including a handful of games that are not quite poker anymore. Caribbean stud poker is one of these games. Regardless of the name, Caribbean stud poker is most closely resembling 21 than long-standing poker, in that the players wager against the dealer rather than the other players. The succeeding hands, are the traditional poker hands. There is no concealment or different kinds of deception. In Caribbean stud poker, you are required to pay up prior to the croupier saying "No more wagers." At that point, both you and the bank and of course all of the different players receive five cards each. Once you have looked at your hand and the bank’s first card, you have to in turn make a call bet or surrender. The call wager’s amount is akin to your beginning wager, indicating that the stakes will have increased two fold. Giving Up means that your bet goes directly to the house. After the bet comes the showdown. If the house does not have ace/king or greater, your bet is given back, including a figure in accordance with the original wager. If the casino has a hand with ace/king or greater, you win if your hand is greater than the dealer’s hand. The casino pony’s up money even with your bet and set expectations on your call wager. These expectations are:
- Equal for a pair or high card
- two to one for 2 pairs
- three to one for three of a kind
- 4-1 for a straight
- five to one for a flush
- 7-1 for a full house
- twenty to one for a four of a kind
- 50-1 for a straight flush
- 100-1 for a royal flush
