Howard Lederer was born into in a family of five where he enjoyed taking part in different card games when he was young. He found himself becoming really aggressive in these particular card games while competing against his father. The Mayfair was a bridge and backgammon club where the greatest players would often challenge one another. He was able to access a number of the foremost minds in chess. Howard Lederer headed to Las Vegas in 1993 and played money games for the subsequent 10 years. When the WPT gained popularity, Howard decided to play more tournaments.
